About Papadam
Papadam is the Nepalese-Indian dining room and takeaway near the foot of Sidcup Hill, run by the team behind Papadam Indian Sidcup Ltd and registered with Companies House since 2018. The room is small — a couple of dozen covers across two short rows of tables — and the kitchen pushes a careful blend of Bangladeshi British-curry-house staples and the Nepalese plates the owners build the menu around: chicken sekuwa, momo dumplings with achar dip, vegetable thalis and a kukhura chilli that lands somewhere between Indo-Chinese and Newari home cooking.
The curry section runs the expected list — chicken tikka masala, lamb pasanda, king prawn pathia, vegetable jalfrezi — and the kitchen pushes its own house specials of tandoori mixed grill, spring lamb chop with a chilli-and-coriander marinade and a slow-cooked devil's tomato chicken. Bread comes from a tandoor at the back; the peshwari, garlic and chilli naans are flagged repeatedly by the Tripadvisor reviewers. The restaurant takes sit-down reservations and a steady delivery and collection trade through its own iOS and Android app as well as Just Eat across Sidcup, Foots Cray, Lamorbey, Halfway Street and the western edges of Bexley.
