Albertine Wine Bar

Albertine Wine Bar at 1 Wood Lane in Shepherd's Bush W12 is one of London's oldest wine bars, established in the 1970s on the edge of the Shepherd's Bush Market arches opposite the old BBC Television Centre. It has a famously eclectic wine list and serves simple French-inspired food to accompany it. Shepherd's Bush W12 is home to the BBC (White City), the Shepherd's Bush Empire music venue (a former variety theatre) and the Westfield London shopping centre. Albertine is a survivor from an era when wine bars were the mode of sophisticated drinking in London, and remains a genuinely charming institution.
