Galvin Bistrot and Bar

Galvin Bistrot and Bar is the relaxed, more accessible sister restaurant to the Michelin-starred Galvin La Chapelle, sharing the same spectacular Grade II-listed Spitalfields building. Where La Chapelle offers formal fine dining, the Bistrot captures the warmth and conviviality of a classic French brasserie, with step-free access via its street-level entrance on Spital Square and a terrace with distinctive red Galvin umbrellas for outdoor dining.

The Bistrot menu serves classic French bistro dishes throughout the day: omelette Arnold Bennett, steak frites, moules mariniere, croque monsieur, duck confit and a selection of charcuterie and cheese boards. Brunch is served at weekends. The bar is an excellent spot for a French cocktail or a glass of wine from the same carefully curated cellar as La Chapelle. A friendly and affordable entry point to the Galvin brothers' cooking. Open daily from mid-morning. Well suited to groups and business lunches.
