Mystic Garden

Mystic Garden is one of Annan's established Chinese takeaways, set on Murray Street a short walk from the High Street and the historic centre of the Solway town. It's a small kitchen running a long British-Cantonese menu and is one of two Chinese takeaways trading within the same short stretch of Murray Street — a clue to the long-running local appetite for Chinese in the town.

The menu covers chow mein, fried-rice and noodle bases with the standard sauce options — curry, sweet-and-sour, black-bean, satay, OK and Cantonese-style — over chicken, beef, pork, king prawn and a small vegetable list, along with crispy aromatic duck, salt-and-pepper dishes and set meals that bundle starters, mains and rice. Reviewer call-outs include the chicken curry with boiled rice and the set meal for two as a household standard.

Trade is collection and delivery, with kerbside pickup also offered. The shop is closed Mondays and runs an early-evening through late-evening service the rest of the week.
