Woodville Grill

Woodville Grill & Desserts is one of the busier independent takeaways on the High Street through Woodville, the old pottery village just east of Swadlincote. It trades as a hybrid pizza-kebab-grill and dessert shop, with a long afternoon-to-midnight day that pulls in school-run, evening and late-night orders. South Derbyshire District Council last inspected the kitchen in March 2024.

The menu runs to stone-baked pizzas in classic and house-special builds, doner and shish kebabs, naan wraps, southern-fried chicken, burgers and meal-deal boxes — plus the dessert side the shop is named for, which covers waffles, crepes, milkshakes, sundaes and cookie-dough trays. That dessert range is the bit that differentiates it from the chippy and the curry house on the same parade, and it shows up in Tripadvisor and Yell reviews as a reason regulars order in.
