Peking Cottage

Peking Cottage is one of the long-running Chinese takeaways on the Brook Street parade in Broughty Ferry, a few doors along from Indos and Khan Tandoori on the same stretch. It is a counter-collection and delivery shop rather than a sit-in restaurant. The menu runs the British-Cantonese template — chicken, beef and pork in the standard sauces, rice and noodle bases, set meals and a chip-shop side — and the operation trades the typical Ferry-takeaway pattern of late-afternoon opening through to late evening, with later closes at weekends. Brook Street carries a relatively dense run of Chinese and Indian takeaways for a suburb of Broughty Ferry's size, and Peking Cottage shares its catchment with Hon's further west on the same street and with Campfield Chinese off Queen Street. Most of its trade is residential delivery into the streets behind Brook Street and the wider Ferry housing pulled east toward Monifieth.
