About Jade Palace
Jade Palace is a long-running Chinese takeaway on Macalpine Road, in the Ardler area of north-west Dundee — the housing estate that grew out of the former Ardler village and railway sidings in the 1960s and now sits as one of the larger post-war schemes in the city. The shop is a dedicated Cantonese carry-out with a substantial menu, set up for both collection from the immediate scheme closes and a delivery feed that reaches across the surrounding residential streets.
The card runs the full range of seafood, chicken, beef, pork, duck and lamb dishes through chow mein, fried rice, curry sauces, sweet and sour, foo yung, salt and pepper combinations and set meals for two or three. The shop runs its own ordering site through Scoffable as well as a presence on the main aggregator platforms. Reviews on Tripadvisor and the aggregator pages are mixed in the pattern common to busy long-running Chinese carry-outs — regulars praise the consistency and the portion sizes while occasional visitors note variation at peak slots — but the brand has held its Macalpine Road position over a long period and remains the parade's default Chinese option.
