Bao Fitzrovia
31 Windmill Street Fitzrovia, London, West London, W1T 2JN
Bao at 31 Windmill Street in Fitzrovia W1 is the Fitzrovia branch of the Taiwanese restaurant group founded by Erchen Chang and Shing Tat Chung. While the Soho original on Lexington Street focuses on the classic bao buns, the Fitzrovia branch opened in 2018 and offers a broader menu of Taiwanese cooked dishes and a basement bar. Hardens has praised the group across its locations. The menu includes: the classic fried chicken bao with Taiwanese mayo and coriander; 40-day soy milk pork chop; braised lamb chop with pickled daikon; prawn toast with Sichuan sauce; and Taiwanese breakfast items. The group also operates a dedicated bubble tea offshoot. In 2025, Bao was expanding further, with Hardens confirming consistent quality across the group's London sites.
