New Happy Lin is the long-running Chinese takeaway on Dallow Street, on the residential west side of central Burton-upon-Trent. It's a counter-and-collection shop rather than a sit-in, with the kitchen working through the standard British-Cantonese menu — chow mein, chicken balls, sweet-and-sour, curry-sauce dishes, salt-and-pepper builds and a set-meal section that's the usual point of entry for new customers.

The shop trades on the regulars of the surrounding streets — a steady evening pattern of household orders rather than walk-in trade — and runs delivery across the major aggregators including Just Eat, Deliveroo and Uber Eats from a 5pm opening through the late evening.
