Delhi Spice

Delhi Spice is the award-winning Indian takeaway on Rosliston Road in Stapenhill, the long ridge road that runs out of Burton-upon-Trent towards the South Derbyshire villages. It picked up the 2024/25 Good Food Award — Blue Ribbon, a national takeaway accolade voted on customer reviews, which is genuine recognition rather than the small-trade-association awards that often get inflated in marketing material.

The kitchen runs both Indian and Bangladeshi cuisines, with a chef whose own published bio puts him at twenty years of experience behind a curry-house range. The board carries the expected balti, jalfrezi, korma, biryani and tandoori starters, along with a clearly marked vegetarian section. Customer feedback on Tripadvisor is at the top of the Burton curry segment, with regulars naming dishes by spice level and praising consistency on repeat orders. The shop scored 5 from East Staffordshire's food-safety inspectors and is a halal kitchen. There is no dine-in; collection and a short-range delivery into Stapenhill, Winshill and the Branston side of the river are the operation. Trading is evenings only.
