Maremma at 36 Brixton Water Lane in Brixton SW2 is a Tuscan restaurant named for the Maremma coastal region of southern Tuscany. Hardens lists it among the best restaurants in Brixton. Hot Dinners featured its opening. DesignMyNight confirms it as active (updated February 2026). The restaurant was founded by two Brixton locals, one of whom has a house in the Maremma region. The menu focuses on fresh pasta made in-house daily — tortelli Maremmani, spinach and ricotta tortelli, acquacotta Tuscan soup — alongside charcoal-grilled meats and seafood: bistecca alla Fiorentina, wild boar prosciutto. The wine list is exclusively regional Tuscan, sourced from small producers and available for the first time in the UK. A downstairs wine cellar is available for private hire. Brixton Water Lane has developed a reputation as one of South London's most interesting restaurant streets, with a cluster of quality independents.
