Regency Cafe

The Regency Cafe at 17-19 Regency Street in Westminster SW1 is a post-war institution that has barely changed since it opened in 1946. Hardens 2025 guide calls it a "post-war gem" that is "still as great as it ever was." A classic London greasy spoon with green-tiled walls, Formica tables and a laminated menu of full English breakfasts, egg rolls, sausage sandwiches and mugs of strong tea. The cafe has appeared in numerous films and TV productions. One of the most authentic working-class food experiences left in central London, just a few minutes from the Houses of Parliament.
