Pizza crunch — a pizza dropped into the fryer — sits on the traditional fried list alongside jumbo haggis, King Rib, black pudding, smoked sausage by the half or whole, fish cakes, scampi and haddock, all offered as a single or as a supper with chips. That counter alone would make an ordinary chip shop, but the pizza oven is the larger half of the menu, running four sizes across the usual toppings and then some less usual ones: haggis, chicken pakora, chicken donner, and pizzas built on a curry base or a BBQ base instead of tomato. Tony's Special heads the house list. Rolls are taken seriously too — chip rolls, hamburger chip rolls, cheese and burger chip rolls, fritter rolls. Munchy boxes and a chippy box deal cover the group order, and the sweet end runs to a deep fried Mars bar and a Nutella ball.
