The Gold Sea

The Gold Sea occupies a large site on Ferry Road in north Leith, operating as a fish-and-chip shop that also runs a broader takeaway menu covering pizzas, burgers, doner kebabs and a full range of classic chippy sides. The kitchen emphasises fresh and high-quality ingredients — premium fish and seafood alongside locally sourced produce — and the menu spans from the traditional battered cod and chips through to comfort-food combinations. Ferry Road is a major east–west arterial through north Edinburgh, with a large catchment from the Trinity and Pilrig residential streets as well as Newhaven to the west. The Gold Sea takes online orders for delivery and collection.
