Guru Balti has been serving the Tollcross and Polwarth area from Dundee Terrace for over 30 years, trading from the landmark former Boni's ice cream parlour building. The restaurant specialises in traditional balti cooking, with chefs trained in the Brindleyplace Birmingham balti tradition. The naan breads are a defining feature — enormous, soft and fluffy, regularly described by reviewers as the biggest in Scotland, roughly pizza-sized. The menu runs through balti lamb Jaipuri, green herb lamb, chicken tikka korma, and prawn puri alongside vegetable baltis including the sabzi kofta.
