Yeungs Chinese Take Away

Yeung's is the long-running Chinese takeaway on Waltham High Street, the small village centre that sits a short drive south of Grimsby on the A16. The shop occupies a unit on the central run of the High Street alongside the village butcher and the windmill landmark a little further down, and has been part of Waltham's evening food trade for years.

The menu is the traditional British-Chinese list: set meals, foo yung, chow mein, sweet and sour, satay, Cantonese-style curry, salt-and-pepper dishes and the usual starter range of spare ribs, pancake rolls and crispy seaweed. Reviews are mixed across the platforms — some long-running customers note inconsistency through changes of ownership, while others (including more recent reviewers under a fresh management run) praise quick delivery and well-judged portions. The shop trades evening only Monday to Saturday and is closed on Sundays. A practical village Chinese rather than a destination, but for residents on the Waltham side of the parish it is the obvious first call when the alternative is a drive into central Grimsby.
