About Eastern Delights
Eastern Delights has held the central Cleethorpes Indian restaurant pitch on Market Street since 1989, making it comfortably one of the longest-trading subcontinental dining rooms in the town. The room is a fully licensed sit-in restaurant — table service, a tandoor at the back and a fully developed dining-room presentation — rather than the more common parade-takeaway template.
The board runs the standard Anglo-Indian range across korma, jalfrezi, madras, dhansak, balti, bhuna and tandoori grills, with vegetarian and tandoori-led starter sections and a long house specials column. Reviewers on TripAdvisor and the local Indian-restaurant directories single out the chilli garlic chicken tikka, the chicken passanda and the lamb bhuna as the dishes that have built the long-term regular trade. The kitchen handles dine-in, collection and delivery in parallel.
Hours run Monday to Thursday 5pm to 11pm, Friday and Saturday a slightly longer 4.30pm to 11.30pm to catch the weekend pre and post-pub trade, and Sunday 5pm to 11pm. The Market Street position puts the restaurant on the central Cleethorpes pub circuit, which is part of how a 36-year-old sit-in operation has stayed steady through a thinning Cleethorpes Indian-restaurant trade.
