About India Palace
India Palace occupies the small shopping line at Station Approach beside Sole Street railway station — the Chatham Main Line halt that serves the historic settlement at the eastern edge of the Meopham parishes, two miles down the track from Meopham village itself. The takeaway is one of only a handful of food businesses on the station parade and has historically picked up a strong evening commuter trade as Southeastern services arrive back from London Victoria and Bromley South.
The kitchen runs through the usual Indian and Bangladeshi British-curry menu — chicken tikka masala, balti, biryani, bhuna, dhansak, Madras, vindaloo and a useful vegetable section — and adds a tandoori specials list of mixed grills, lamb chops and king prawn dishes. The business has been described in recent listings as trading under the name Indian Lounge Express following a change of management, though the older India Palace shopfront remains visible. Delivery and collection are offered into Meopham, Cobham, Sole Street, Luddesdown and Vigo Village; the wider Cobham area is also the village famous for its Dickens connection at The Leather Bottle, which the takeaway sometimes picks up for after-pub orders. Reviews across the platforms are broadly positive on cooking and service.
