About Osteria Angelina
Osteria Angelina is one of the most exciting restaurant openings in East London in 2025, arriving in the Norton Folgate development on the Spitalfields-Shoreditch border in March of that year. From the team behind the critically acclaimed Angelina Dalston -- which has scored a maximum 5/5 for food in the Hardens Guide and earned a devoted following since 2019 -- Osteria Angelina is a bigger, more relaxed sister restaurant in a beautifully restored Victorian warehouse with four-metre-high ceilings, exposed brick walls, candlelit marble tables and a dramatic open kitchen. Grace Dent in the Guardian praised "darkly chic" surroundings where the Japanese-Italian "Itameshi" cooking "will offend purists everywhere, but being upset has never been so delicious".
Chef Usman Haider leads the kitchen in a menu of eight rotating fresh pasta dishes with Japanese twists -- rigatoni with tomato and kosho, tortelloni with truffle and kombu, tagliolini with mentaiko -- alongside large cuts grilled over Japanese binchotan charcoal (skate wing with sea urchin butter, duck crown kabayaki, aged porterhouse with tare), crudi and antipasti. Over 300 Italian wines plus a substantial sake list. Counter seating at the open kitchen is particularly sought after. Book at angelina.london/osteria.
