Annaya's on West Princes Street is Helensburgh's most decorated Indian restaurant and takeaway, a finalist in the Scottish Entertainment and Hospitality Awards' Best Family Restaurant category in 2025 and a multiple national award winner in consecutive years. The kitchen is built around home-style Desi cooking by a team with over sixty years of combined experience, drawing on family recipes from northern India and Pakistan. Lamb curry, tandoori lamb tikka and methi dishes have attracted specific praise from the Curry-Heute food blog, which has returned repeatedly since 2019. The rotating specials board is credited by the chefs as a key element in their award success — dishes that change with the season and reflect the kitchen's genuine creativity.
