Commonwealth Takeaway

Commonwealth Takeaway is the central village takeaway in Eastriggs, the small Solway settlement a few miles east of Annan that grew up around the First World War munitions works at HM Factory Gretna. The shop sits on The Green, the village's open central square, opposite Eastriggs Primary School and a short walk from the village hall — effectively the everyday food spot for the village rather than a destination takeaway.

The menu is the classic small-village all-rounder: pizzas to order across a long list of toppings, doner and shish kebabs, burgers, wraps, fried chicken, garlic bread and starters, kids' meal deals and a small dessert list, with chips and pakora filling out the sides. The shop also offers meal deals that bundle a pizza or kebab with sides and a drink, designed for the family-evening end of the village trade.

Trade is collection and delivery — a three-mile delivery radius covers Eastriggs, the wider Annan estate and the small settlements out toward Gretna and the border — with a minimum order on delivery.
