Papas Pizza

Papa's Pizza & Kebab is the late-evening pizza and kebab takeaway on the Woodville stretch of High Street, sitting in the same small parade as UPO's chippy. It trades as an evening-only kitchen, opening from five and running through to nearly one in the morning at weekends — useful in a village without much late-night food beyond the chippy and the curry house up the road.

The menu is the standard British-Mediterranean takeaway list — classic and meat-feast pizzas in three sizes, doner and mixed-meat kebabs, naan wraps, burgers and a small dessert board. Ordering runs through the shop's own site and app, with delivery into Woodville, Hartshorne, Newhall and the Swadlincote side of the A511. The kitchen was inspected by South Derbyshire District Council in January 2025.

Within the Woodville parade Papa's is the parade's pizza and kebab option — the chippy a few doors down covers the fish trade, and Papa's picks up the orders for households that want pizza, garlic bread and a couple of kebabs to share. Reviews on Tripadvisor and Yell trend positive, with regulars naming delivery time and consistent portion sizes as the reasons they go back.
