About The Fish Net
The Fish Net is a small fish and chip shop on the corner of Camden Street, tucked into the dense grid of West End terraces a short walk west of Derby city centre. It is one of those traditional Derby chippies that has expanded the menu over the years to take in pizzas, kebabs and burgers alongside the cod, haddock and plaice, which gives it the broader appeal of a general takeaway rather than a pure fish-shop.
The fish side is the core. Cod and haddock are battered to order, chips cut in the shop, and the steak and kidney pies, chicken pies and battered sausages fill out the traditional sheet. The pizza and kebab additions cover the after-eight catchment for evenings when fish doesn't fit the bill, with stone-baked pizzas in the usual house specials and doner kebabs in pitta or wrap.
Trade is split between walk-in collection from the immediate Camden Street and West End catchment and delivery across DE22 via the standard platforms. Prices sit in the mid-range for a Derby chippy; portion sizes pull in repeat custom from the surrounding terraces.
