Sun Waa

Sun Waa is a long-standing Chinese takeaway tucked just off the main run of Oaklands Avenue in Littleover, the established south-west suburb that has supported a steady neighbourhood trade for it for years. The shop trades evenings only, opening late afternoon and running through to last orders, and works the standard Anglo-Cantonese repertoire — set meals built around chicken curry, sweet-and-sour, salt-and-pepper and chow mein, with crispy aromatic duck and house special chow mein among the regularly-praised dishes. Locals describe orders arriving piping hot and on time, which on a weekend Friday is a fair test.
