Good Food Inn

Good Food Inn is the Chinese takeaway in the small Five Lamps Court parade off Kedleston Street, a few minutes north of the Cathedral Quarter. The kitchen runs the standard Cantonese-British template — set dinners, sweet and sour, Szechuan dishes, the recognised chow mein and curry-sauce options — with delivery and collection from the small ground-floor shop. Reviews are mixed but the kitchen has a strong following among regulars for the prawn dishes, particularly the hot and sweet prawns, which are picked out for portion size, and for a Vietnamese-style chicken fried rice that reviewers regularly flag as one of the more distinctive things on the menu. The shop is closed Monday and Tuesday.
