Spice Of Life on the southern London Road end of Wilmorton is one of the longer-running Indian takeaways on the south-east Derby A6 corridor. Wilmorton is the older railway-housing stretch that sits between Alvaston and Pride Park — the Baseball Ground, Derby County's home until 1997, stood on this side of the A6 — and the takeaway sits among the parade of converted Victorian shopfronts that line this part of the road.
