Saddlers is one of Derby's longest-running independent fast-food takeaways, trading from a corner site on Abbey Street in the West End. The shop has built a city-wide name on its kebabs, with reviewers in particular calling out the doner and shish kebabs in fresh naan bread, cooked to order rather than pulled from a warmer.

The menu sits in a busy kebab-pizza-burger space. Pizzas come on a dough made fresh in the shop with house specials like the Saddlers Grill (a triple of doner, shish and tikka on one base), tikka pizza and hot-and-spicy; kebabs run doner, shish and chicken with the three-mix as the splurge order; burgers, fried chicken and the standard sides round out the sheet. Halal across the board.

The kitchen trades late — opening late afternoon and running into the small hours seven nights a week — which makes it one of the genuine after-club takeaways on the west side of Derby city centre. Collection is straightforward on Abbey Street; delivery covers the West End, Friar Gate and the inner Derby catchment via the shop's own ordering site and Uber Eats. Holds the FHRS rating; on the Food Standards Agency the trading name is Sadlers Halal.
