Punjabi Spice is the Indian-led mixed-cuisine takeaway on the small Harvey Road parade in Boulton, sat alongside Manlee and Harveys Fish Bar on the residential through-road that runs between Alvaston and the Allenton end of Osmaston Road. The kitchen carries one of the longer menus on this stretch — tandoori starters, balti, karahi, masala, korai and house-special curries through the full heat ladder, biryanis and rice, plus a separate pizza, kebab, burger, fried-chicken and wrap side that doubles the menu page count. The shop runs late, through to a quarter to midnight midweek and a quarter to one in the morning on Fridays and Saturdays, which puts it firmly into the late-pub pickup market for the surrounding Boulton and Allenton streets. Delivery covers a wide stretch of south and central Derby, well beyond the immediate neighbourhood, which is the broader-than-usual catchment that the larger mixed-menu shops on this end of Derby chase. Pricing is at the affordable end and the kitchen is firmly in the cook-to-order rather than batch-then-reheat camp.
