Mamas Masala Kitchen

Mamas Masala Kitchen is the takeaway-and-catering arm of the Mamas Masala Indian brand that launched in the centre of Derby in 2011 and has since spread to a small group of operations in the city. This one sits on the long Nottingham Road run between Chaddesden and Spondon, working the catering and takeaway end of the brand rather than the sit-down restaurant side. The menu carries the standard Mamas Masala line — tandoori starters, the long curry list from korma through to vindaloo, biryanis, balti dishes and the usual rice and naan side — with a stronger pitch on wedding and event catering than the typical neighbourhood Indian. The customer base is a mix of the Spondon-side residential trade and the catering orders the brand is set up to chase. A useful Indian option for the eastern stretch of the Nottingham Road corridor.
