Curry Art is the Indian takeaway on Ridgeway in Chellaston, the south Derby suburb at the top of the long climb out of the city towards the Swarkestone causeway. It runs both Indian and Bangladeshi cuisines from a small collection-counter kitchen, with a delivery radius into Chellaston, Shelton Lock and the Boulton Lane estates.

The board carries the recognisable curry-house list — korma, madras, bhuna, biryani — alongside tandoori specialities (chicken tikka, tandoori lamb chops). The dish regulars on Restaurantji and Wanderlog single out most often is the vegetable naga, an above-average chilli-built dish that has become a calling card for the shop. Reviewers describe the cooking as restaurant-standard despite the takeaway-only format, with the food's heat on delivery a recurring theme — a useful sign that the kitchen knows the delivery radius. The shop trades evenings only — closed Mondays, with a Sunday lunchtime slot that is unusual for a curry house — and pushes through to eleven each night. It is collection and short-radius delivery. The Chellaston curry scene is not overcrowded and Curry Art holds a clear position at the top of the village board.
