Anoki Burton

Anoki Burton is the larger Egginton sister of the established Derby city restaurant, sitting on the A38 between Derby and Burton-upon-Trent. The site, opened by the same team behind the Derby original (a sister venue dating from 2003), runs a fine-dining Indian format rather than a takeaway — a 170-cover room with contemporary murals, table service from staff in traditional dress, and a menu built around tandoori specialities and well-spiced curries with a presentation edge.

The Burton room takes wedding parties, larger family events and corporate groups, and the kitchen is consistently rated towards the top of the Indian segment for the area on Tripadvisor and similar review sites. The board runs from delicately spiced kormas and dupiazas through to tandoori grill platters and the kitchen's named house dishes. Prices are above the curry-house norm and reviewers acknowledge that, but the consistency of the cooking is what the regulars come back for. The restaurant is halal. There is no takeaway-only counter — it is a full sit-down restaurant, with online table booking and an own-site ordering system for collection where required.
