Allenton Kebabs

Allenton Kebabs has been trading from the Osmaston Road parade since the late 1980s — the current limited company was registered in 2018 but the shop name predates the incorporation by some years — and is one of the longest-running late-night takeaways on this busy south-Derby stretch. The kitchen runs a wide spread: doner and shish kebabs off the spit, mixed grill plates, traditional curries through balti, karahi, masala and biryani, pizza by the inch, burgers and a southern-fried-chicken side. Hours run very late — through to one in the morning midweek and two in the morning on Fridays and Saturdays — which makes it one of the few south-Derby takeaways that genuinely trades to the post-pub and post-club crowd coming back through Allenton from the city centre. The shop holds a current Food Standards Agency rating of 5 from a December 2025 inspection. Collection and delivery only, no dining area, with the catchment covering the wider Allenton and adjoining Sinfin and Wilmorton estates. Pricing sits at the affordable end and the kebab side gets the most consistent positive reviews from regulars.
