Oriental Villa

Oriental Villa is a Chinese takeaway on Market Place in central Belper, working the same upper square as Continental Food Bar and Miah's. It has been one of the town's long-running Chinese options for years and runs the full Cantonese-British takeaway list — set meals, house specials, chow mein, curry, sweet and sour, chop suey and salt-and-pepper dishes, with the usual run of crispy starters and prawn toast.

Reviews split: a base of regulars call it the best Chinese in Belper for portion size and consistency, while a separate strand of recent reviews flags a dip — stale sauces, beef that has not been to a wholesaler's standards, and orders binned after disappointing tastes.
