About Goa

Goa is one of the better-known Indian restaurants in the Broughty Ferry area, occupying a smart fit-out on Erskine Lane just back from the Brook Street shopping spine. The kitchen leans on the Goan and wider Indian-coastal side of the menu alongside the standard tandoori and balti repertoire, and the operation has picked up Scottish Curry Awards recognition — Best of Dundee at the Scottish Curry Awards on multiple occasions, including 2022, is the headline most often quoted by the press and on the restaurant's own material. The dining room is fully licensed and trades primarily as a sit-in restaurant in the evenings, with delivery and collection running alongside via the usual aggregators and the restaurant's own ordering site. Vegetarian, vegan, halal and gluten-free options are flagged across the menu, which gives it a broader catchment than some of the older curry houses in the Ferry. Locals tend to compare it with Indos and Bombay Joe's in the same area, and Goa generally sits among the higher-rated of the three on review sites. A useful evening Indian for Broughty Ferry and the wider east-Dundee suburbs.
