Curryummy

Curryummy is one of the long-running Indian takeaways on Strathmartine Road, the artery running north out of the city centre toward Downfield. The shop trades from a small unit close to the lower end of the road, serving the immediate residential streets that climb up off Strathmartine into Stobswell and Coldside on one side and across into Maryfield on the other. The Strathmartine corridor has been shaped for decades by the city's south-Asian community and carries a dense cluster of Indian houses; Curryummy sits among the established names on the strip.

The menu is broad — full Indian curry-house card from tandoori specialities and balti dishes through to madras, korma, dopiaza and biryani — with a pizza-and-kebab side line and a substantial collection of family meal-deal bundles. Trading hours run evening-only across the week, with the kitchen opening at half-four and closing at eleven.
