Curry House

Curry House is the established Indian takeaway on Dura Street, the inner-Stobswell shopping spine that runs north from the Forfar Road through one of the densest takeaway clusters in east Dundee. The kitchen produces a full mainline Indian menu — the usual range of bhuna, korma, jalfrezi, dansak and balti, plus a tandoori section, biryani specials and house chefs' specials — and has been one of the steady mid-tier curry options in the area for years, trading alongside the cluster of Bangladeshi and Pakistani operators that have made Dura Street and Albert Street the working-class curry corridor of the city. Curry House opens late by Dundee standards, with the kitchen running through to around midnight, and supplies a strong delivery trade across Stobswell, Baxter Park and the housing east towards Pitkerro. Vegetarian and vegan sections are properly built out rather than tacked on, and the shop runs an own-site ordering operation in addition to the usual Scoffable, Just Eat and Food Hub channels. Reviews are consistent on portion size and on the consistency of the tandoori starters.
