Woodend Fish Bar

Woodend Fish Bar is a traditional Scottish chip shop serving the Summerhill and Hazlehead suburbs on the west side of Aberdeen. The shop reopened in 2024 after a refit under new ownership, continuing a long-standing run as a neighbourhood chipper where the fish is battered to order and fried fresh for collection at the counter. It sits among the quiet residential streets of the Woodend area, a handy stop for a takeaway supper close to home.

The board keeps to the Scottish fryer staples — haddock suppers, chicken fillet suppers, pie suppers and pudding suppers, all served with chips and the usual sides of onion rings and battered sausages. Alongside counter collection, orders go out for local home delivery through Just Eat and Deliveroo across the surrounding west-Aberdeen suburbs.
