Billing itself as the peak of Nepalese and Indian cooking, Mount Everest brings something a little different to the Blackburn area north-west of Aberdeen. Alongside familiar tandoori grills and curry-house classics, the kitchen leans into its Himalayan roots with dishes such as Chicken Kathmandu, the almond-rich Badam Chicken, Aubergine Chicken and the Nepalese-style Mayalu Kukhura, rounded off with a sharing tandoori platter and pillowy Peshwari naan. Vegetarian diners are well looked after, and the takeaway side of the operation runs a broader quick-collection menu too.

Inspectors awarded a Pass under Scotland's food hygiene scheme in the summer of 2023.
