Light of Bengal

Light of Bengal on Rose Street in central Aberdeen has been serving Indian food since 1978 — one of the city's longest-established curry houses. The kitchen runs seven nights a week from 4pm to 11pm with collection until 10:30pm and delivery to the door. Yelp's listing was refreshed in January 2026 and Wheree's in May 2026.

The menu balances Bengali specialities with classic Indian standards: Nawabi Bengal chicken, the intensely-flavoured chicken naga morris bhoona, Bengali fish curries, biryanis, butter chicken, tandoori dishes, and a full vegetarian section.
