Shummi Chinese Takeaway Menu

Shummi builds its menu as a sauce matrix. Ok sauce, honey and chilli, garlic and chilli, sweet and chilli, oyster, satay, Kung Po, Szechuan, black bean, ginger and spring onion, cashew nut, pineapple, and lemon, orange or plum each get their own section, with beef, chicken, roast pork, roast duck, king prawn and a house Special run through them. Two things break the pattern. Japanese udon noodles are given two boards, plain or in black pepper sauce, and a Fillet Steak section serves the steak with Cantonese, black bean, black pepper, or ginger and spring onion sauces. Cantonese cooking is separated out further still into its own dishes, fried rice and noodles. Elsewhere there is a short dim sum list of char siu buns and prawn or pork-and-prawn dumplings, Thai red and green curries, deep fried crab claws, and a Spicy Munchy Box among the appetisers. Vegetarians can take mixed vegetables through six of the house sauces.
