Karma Indian at Wade Lane by the Merrion Centre was set up by Leeds-born entrepreneur Kamal Miah and business partner Shujahat Shah following extensive culinary research across India and the Far East. The result is a contemporary Indian and Oriental takeaway menu covering freshly made curries, skewers, noodle dishes and rice bowls served with a choice of house sauces. An alcohol licence — rare for a takeaway of this type — allows beer, wine and cocktails alongside the food. Delivery covers a wide city-centre and north Leeds radius. The Merrion Centre position draws footfall from shoppers and university students throughout the day and evening.
