Yinjibar on Charles Street is one of Hull's most consistently praised Chinese restaurants, ranked in the city's top hundred on TripAdvisor with a 4.4 Google rating from more than 400 reviewers. The kitchen specialises in Cantonese dim sum alongside a full menu of noodles, rice dishes and wok-fried mains — the char siu pork buns and honey lemon chicken are frequently name-checked. Portions are notably generous: a single dish can be shared between two. Prices remain very affordable — large bowls of noodles for around £5 — and the restaurant operates on a cash-only basis. Closed Wednesdays, and conveniently situated close to Hull New Theatre, making it a popular pre-show dining choice. The decor is unfussy but the cooking consistently earns its high reputation.
