Tapasvi at 19 Holderness Road has evolved significantly over recent years: the site is now known as Ruthvika Spices and Kitchen, with owner Mukesh Tirkoti rebranding around Ayurvedic principles and a health-conscious approach to Indian cooking. In July 2024 the kitchen was awarded 1 AA Rosette — a meaningful culinary recognition for an east Hull restaurant. The menu ranges from small bites and grilled mains to curries, signature dishes and an extensive vegetarian and vegan selection.

On Just Eat the kitchen has earned a 5.3 out of 6 from 45 reviews — a strong result for a relatively small number of ratings. Holderness Road's inner section is close to the old Reckitt's works area and the Garden Village conservation zone, drawing a mixed residential and working clientele. The Ayurvedic focus — emphasising health-conscious ingredient choices — and the 2024 AA Rosette make this one of the more distinctive and recognized Indian restaurants in east Hull, well beyond the standard British-Indian format.
