Reeds Fish and Chips

Reeds has been feeding Stoneferry for years, a proper neighbourhood chip shop that regulars recall fondly as a post-pub staple — "still one of the best," wrote one long-time customer. It sits on Leads Road at the Stoneferry end of the HU7 corridor, serving the residential streets between Bransholme and the city edge. The menu is fish-and-chip shop classic: battered fish, jumbo sausages, pies and the sort of chips that are meant to be eaten from the paper.

The shop is a daytime-and-afternoon operation, making it more of a lunch and early-evening chippy than a late-night destination. Cash only, collection only, in the old style.
