Aunt Bibby's Smokehouse and Saloon on Princes Avenue is about as close to a genuine American BBQ pit as Hull gets. All BBQ meat is marinated for 48 hours with a house dry rub, then smoked overnight before service — baby back ribs, pulled pork shoulder, and half a smoked chicken arrive with that deep, layered smokiness that comes only from patient low-and-slow cooking. The gourmet burger list and loaded hot dogs round out the American-diner menu, and the bar carries a well-chosen selection of craft beers alongside cocktails. The saloon-door entrance and full Western-bar décor commit to the theme without reservation. Princes Avenue has a strong selection of independent restaurants and bars, but Aunt Bibby's occupies the American BBQ niche alone — there is no direct competitor on the strip offering the same combination of proper smoked meats and a full bar in a theme-consistent environment. One of Princes Avenue's most individual and genuinely distinctive venues.
