Memsahib has been a fixture on Queensgate since 1990, making it one of the longest-established Indian restaurants in Huddersfield town centre — over three decades of consistent service in an area where many competitors have come and gone. The kitchen is run by experienced chefs cooking to a consistent standard across a menu that covers appetisers, main dishes, chef's specials, vegetable dishes, set meals and a children's option, making it as practical for family dinners as for business lunches. The founding aim of affordable South Asian food in a comfortable, lively atmosphere has held for more than thirty years. Its Queensgate position, close to the main shopping thoroughfare, keeps it in the path of passing trade as well as returning regulars who have been eating here since the early years.
