Mr Khan's Indian Takeaway sits in the small shop unit on Micklebring Grove just off the Old Road approach into Conisbrough, the medieval town whose Norman keep — the model for Walter Scott's Ivanhoe — looms over the surrounding river valley. The kitchen runs an authentic Indian curry-house menu with a pizza-and-kebab crossover section: traditional bhunas, baltis, jalfrezis and chef specials alongside stone-baked pizzas, doner-meat kebabs and a southern-fried chicken range. The food is kept halal.

The shop runs its own online ordering system on a fifteen-percent direct-order discount in addition to listings on the main aggregators, which makes the same dish noticeably cheaper to order direct. Trade hours run later than most of the surrounding takeaways — through to eleven on weeknights and midnight on Friday and Saturday — and reviewers consistently highlight the portion size and the speed of collection turnaround. Card and contactless are taken; there is no sit-in.
