About Indian Summer NEW
The Indian Summer holds a small High Street unit in the centre of Epworth, the historic Isle of Axholme market town best known as the birthplace of John and Charles Wesley, the brothers who founded Methodism — the Old Rectory on Rectory Street where they grew up sits a short walk from the High Street. The restaurant runs the standard Bangladeshi-British curry-house menu — full tandoori and balti pages, the long house-special section with passanda, jalfrezi, dhansak, korma, madras and vindaloo lines, biryani and pilao rices — and trades alongside Curry Leaf and Epworth Tandoori in what is unusually dense Indian competition for a Lincolnshire-border market town of this size. Reviewer commentary on Restaurantji aggregates around the kitchen's consistency and the value of the early-week deals. Trading is evening-only with the standard later finish on Friday and Saturday. The Indian Summer is one of three Indian operations on Epworth's short High Street parade, with the four-shop cluster including Mings Chinese, Benny's Italian, Epworth Tandoori and The Indian Summer giving the town a remarkably crowded takeaway market.
