Hong Kong House holds the Chinese takeaway slot on Northgate in Tickhill, the small historic market village famous for its Norman castle motte, the surrounding Tickhill Castle moat and St Mary's parish church on the green at the centre of the village. The unit has rebranded recently as China Town (Chinatown Tickhill) while continuing to trade from the same Northgate address, and reviewer commentary on TripAdvisor and Restaurant Guru describes it as "Best Chinese in Tickhill by far" with consistent five-star scores for food and service. The kitchen runs the broad village-Chinese menu — salt-and-pepper variations, sweet-and-sour and black-bean dishes, chow mein in the standard meat range, satay and curry sauces, a long set-meals page for collection and the inevitable chip-shop crossover sides. The shop holds a 4-rated Food Standards Agency hygiene certificate from its February 2024 Doncaster Council inspection and trades to a small but loyal village catchment for whom this is the default Chinese collection stop short of a drive into Bawtry or Doncaster.
