Golden Dragon takes one of the Darnley Buildings parade units on Queen Mary's Road in New Rossington, the South Yorkshire ex-pit village whose terraced streets fan out around the old Rossington Main colliery and the Asda store on Grange Lane. The shop trades a straight Cantonese takeaway operation — collection and delivery, no sit-in space — with the broad village-Chinese menu regulars expect: the full salt-and-pepper, sweet-and-sour, black-bean and satay pages, chicken curries over rice or chips, a long chow-mein and chop-suey section in the standard meats, and the chip-shop crossover sides that have become unavoidable on South Yorkshire Chinese menus.
